IP and confidentiality

What happens to a model, a drawing set or a specification sent to Seimora Group: who owns it, who sees it, and what it is never used for.

A model or a drawing set is commercially sensitive. It shows what a client is building, what it costs and how it is assembled, and handing it to a firm that then subcontracts fabrication is a reasonable thing to be careful about. This page is the policy, not a reassurance.

Your intellectual property stays yours

Models, drawings, specifications, calculations, schedules and data you send remain your property. Sending them grants no licence beyond what is needed to do the work you asked for. Nothing you send is used to price, design or build anything for anyone else.

Who sees it, and how little of it

Material is shared with a partner fabricator only where that shop needs it to perform its own scope, and only the part it needs. One partner is not shown another partner's scope. Seimora owns no fabrication facility, which means the shops on a job are subcontractors under a Seimora contract rather than parties the client has to police.

It is never published as our work

Nothing a client sends is used as a portfolio piece, a case study, a marketing image or a conference slide without that client's written permission. This is not a hypothetical commitment: the work page on this site is empty rather than populated with material belonging to other people, which is the same policy applied to ourselves.

What we keep

General know-how — methods, templates, standards, the way we organise a document register — remains ours, and working on your project does not transfer it to you any more than it transfers your design to us. Records we are required to retain for the work itself, such as the calculations behind a submission, are kept as the professional obligation for that work requires.

Confidentiality does not end with the job

An obligation of confidence over your material continues after the work finishes. A non-disclosure agreement can be in place before anything moves; where you have your own, it is normal for us to work under yours.

How material reaches us

Files go through the intake on the quote page. They travel from your browser straight into object storage rather than through this website, in parts, so an interrupted transfer continues from where it stopped instead of starting again. Files can also be added to an enquiry already with us, from the private link in its acknowledgement email; the reference number on its own opens nothing.

The confidentiality acknowledgement comes first, and that ordering is enforced on the server rather than in the page — the intake will not issue anywhere to put a file until the acknowledgement has been accepted. What it says is the substance of this page, restated at the point of transfer, and it is an acknowledgement rather than a replacement for a mutual NDA. Accepting records the time, the network address, the browser and the exact version of the text that was shown; every version ever published is kept, so what was agreed on a given date stays readable afterwards.

Each acceptance is scoped to the enquiry it was given for. Where a file lands is set by that record rather than by the browser asking, so one acknowledgement is not a route into another company's material. Every read of an uploaded file is recorded — who, when, and which file — and so is every internal link issued to one, which is what makes the paragraphs above auditable rather than merely asserted.

How long uploaded material is kept, and what happens to the rest of an enquiry, is in the privacy policy.
