Infrastructure and bridges
Access structures, pedestrian and secondary bridge steel and supporting infrastructure, where an approving authority — not just a code — decides what is acceptable.
Continuous line: Issued Leader line: Refers to
Infrastructure work differs from building work in who has the last word. A building frame answers to a code and a checking engineer. A bridge or a public access structure answers to an authority with its own requirements for design submission, for fabricator approval, for weld procedure qualification and for inspection extent — and those requirements are frequently stricter than the base standard they sit on.
Approvals sit with the fabricator and the authority
Which shop may fabricate a given bridge, and to what approval regime, is decided by the authority for that asset and by the approvals that shop itself holds. Seimora holds no fabrication approval of its own — it owns no shop. Tell us the asset owner and the jurisdiction and the first piece of work is establishing the approval route the authority requires.
Fatigue is the design driver, not strength
Secondary bridge and access steel is rarely governed by its static capacity. It is governed by detail category: what the connection type is, how the weld terminates, whether a stiffener is attached to a tension flange. Those are detailing decisions with a structural consequence, which is why design, connection design and detailing on this work are best not split across three parties who each assume the others handled it.
Inspection extent is agreed before it is priced
NDT extent, acceptance criteria and who witnesses what are part of the commercial conversation on infrastructure work, because they move the price materially. They are settled in the inspection and test plan before fabrication starts.

A model, a drawing set or a written description. The specification and the required-on-site date tell us more than the size of the job does.
